The purpose of this information in regards to state and local laws is designed to help students and other Bloomington Normal citizens make smart choices and act in a way that will reduce their risks when engaging in alcohol use.In 2012, a new report to the community, Making a Difference in Our Community,  was released. The report details concerns regarding the alcohol environment in Bloomington-Normal, programming in place to address the issues and a call-out to everyone in the community for support.

The Alcohol Policy Information System (APIS)

APIS hosts a website that outlines State-by-State summaries of laws and regulations related to underage drinking and access to alcohol. For more information on the State of Illinois simply click on the State of Illinois at the APIS website.

The Town of Normal

The Town of Normal municipal code outlining all the town’s local laws and ordinances can be found on their website. Chapters 4 and 17 of the Town of Normal municipal code outline most of the towns alcohol related ordinances.
